Ice Cream Party

Summer time is a popular time for having an ice cream party, however, any time of the year will do. An ice cream party in the winter is probably best when the ice cream is served over a warm dessert, with a hot cup of cocoa, coffee, or tea to accompany it. But an ice cream party in summer, now that's a different story. It's time to incorporate games for fun and for cooling off outdoors. Get out the biodegradable balloons and enjoy water games. Have a race with carrying ice cream on a teaspoon. The third Sunday is National Ice Cream Day, but anytime over the summer is a great time for an ice cream party. It can be held at the beginning of summer to ring it in, or at the end of summer as a back to school get together, or anytime in between. I've read that Vanilla is the most popular ice cream flavor, probably because it can be used with so many different toppings. But an ice cream party can consist of vanilla only, or have a variety of flavors; and definitely a variety of toppings. It doesn't take much to have an ice cream party; hosts can supply the different treats or have guests bring a favorite topping and/or flavor of ice cream too. Just be sure to have enough serving supplies, some beverages, and paper towels. It's a perfect get together for summertime fun.
