Word Puzzles, Bananagrams

It used to be that word puzzles were just crossword puzzles, word jumbles, word searches, and the like, and Scrabble. Then came Up Words and Boggle. And now there are even newer contenders on the block: Bananagrams, Quiddler, Scrabble Apple, Pairs in Pears, and there's probably more. One of the newest word puzzles that we have played, is Bananagrams. Bananagrams is a crossword building puzzle. Each player builds their own crossword puzzle, and can also change the words in their puzzle as the game is played. Bananagrams can be played by yourself or with others; up to seven or more players. I like playing Bananagrams as there is no timer, and no points to add up. The winner is the first one to use up all of their letter tiles, once there are fewer tiles to draw from than there are players, and they shout Bananas! That person is declared the winner unless they have any misspellings. Bananagrams is a word puzzle game that works for kids of all ages that can spell, and it's fun for adults too. There are also different variations of the rules so that the game can also be adapted for playing in restaurants and/or in a more relaxing way. If you like word puzzles, you will probably like playing Bananagrams.
